The Dark Knight: Full Trailer This Sunday

So the new Batman flick and sequel to Batman Begins "The Dark Knight" trailer has been showing before Will Smith's latest "I am Legend" and dodgy cam versions are popping up all over the net, I've seen it and I'm very excited! It will be THE flick of next summer along with Indy 4, but remember a full version of the trailer will be HERE on Sunday, just one of the many viral marketing sites Warner have commissioned for the movie.

The Dark Knight - The Joker: Empire Magazine Cover

Nice pic of Heath Ledger as the Joker from the upcoming sequel to "Batman Begins", "The Dark Knight"; Looks like Ledger will play the Joker as he was portrayed in the comic books - "...a cold blooded mass murdering clown!"

No Shame Return: Argento's "Door into Darkness"

Very good news to see that NoShame are not dead and buried!

Source: Twitchfilm.net

Twitch has (as do many sites) a relationship with NoShame‘s USA arm which goes back to their relatively recent inception and shrouded-in-mystery demise, or should I say apparent demise. People have been scrambling to pick-up DVDs from their reasonably prolific output of USA DVDs in recent times, fearing the worst and predicting they’ll be permanently OOP soon as there was no true and concrete sign NoShame would be back from a regrouping of their business, or from an apparent trip to secure USA rights for further releases - well, in with the rumors that had been flying around forums in recent months, there was a mention for a wider release for a TV Series of four hour-long films partly directed by Argento in his earlier career years, under a few different names as it happens, that has appeared in a scarce Dragon DVD over in Germany in years gone by. I’ve that set stuck away somewhere, but many didn’t get their hands on one of those several thousand sets, many have some to Argento (as they will) since. Here’s your chance then.

I will wait to hear more specific and detailed information about any permanent resurrection, but for now this listing seems to confirm we could hope for a revival of the company… I hope, this time around, that they continue some of their excellent choices with genres favored by American audiences, and that some of the weaker stuff few obviously connected too will avoid any other difficult times in their future - they’ve been a great source of some classics, and a good example (quite often) of how to go about things in terms of providing supporting information on a reliable basis.

Must stop buying DVD's!!!

What with the almighty $$$$ taking a pounding, Amazon.com's recent Black Friday sale, is proving too good to resist! With the "Hill Street Blues" and "Lone Gunmen" boxsets already here at Trash Towers, a late night internet browsing session has meant that "300", "Volver" and "Les Vie des Autres (The Lives of Others)" are also on the way for a little under $40 (about £20!). Not only that I'm now being sent "Future-Kill:Special Edition" from fellow blogger Louis Fowler over at Damaged 2.0, so the collection keeps growing at silly rate, but hey I'll be lucky if I ever get to see half of what I have!

The Equalizer comes to DVD

How have I missed this story! Edward Woodwards "The Equalizer" (or The "Tranquilizer" as my favourite Grandpa used to comment almost every episode from his comfy chair, cigar in hand, as we used to settle down and watch the show together) is coming to Region 1 DVD on February 12th!

Source: Universal

Edward Woodward stars as Robert McCall, an ex-covert operative spy who offers his services as a private detective to those in need. Got a problem? Odds against you? Call The Equalizer!

    This 5-Disc Set Includes:
    • All 22 Suspense-Filled Episodes of Season 1
    • Commentary with the Show's Creator, Michael Sloan
    • And a Bonus Episode from Season 2
Not much in the way of extras, but its been a long time coming to DVD and one that will be getting pre-ordered pretty soon!

Cinema News: De Niro & Pacino in "Righteous Kill"

How good does this look like it's shaping up to be! De Niro and Pacino with support from the great Brian Dennehy, Carla Gugino and 50 Cent!

How awesome is De Niro at the end there! One to watch in 2008 that is for sure!

New DVD's on the way!

Due to the strong pound versus the almighty $ (!), I took advantage of the Amazon.com TV boxset sale, going for "Hill Street Blues S1" and X-Files spinoff "The Lone Gumen" both only retailing for $14.99 each!!!

Also coming my way is some Pinky Violence via "Rica" and "Legends of the Poisonous Seductress: Female Demon Ohyaku" Nice month of viewing ahead if I can find the time!!

J&B in the Movies

As a bar-owner myself, J&B is not only a good-seller but also my favourite blend of whiskey, so it's always come to my attention how many times the J&B bottle turns up in so many Euro giallo's and exploitation flicks. Now there is a website detailing many of the films where J&B was the star...so check it out if you have the chance!

Val Kilmer: Acting like a DIck!

Source: 42nd Street Pete

He Portrayed a Guy With a Big Dick and He turned Out to Be A real Big Dick himself

There were two big film conventions last weekend, one in Ohio, one in NJ. I was at the one in Ohio as I was hosting a Grindhouse Panel there. Lots of stories come out of these cons and you tend to ignore some because they are bullshit, but when over a dozen people tell me the same story, I would have to say its true.

It seems that fallen star, Val Kilmer was at the NJ con, ripping off the fans for autographs and photo ops. Pretty bad when you are charged $30 to take a picture with your own camera, but as long as fans "mark out" this dispicable practice will continue.

Mr. Kilmer was approched by another guest, adult film legend Seka, about having her picture taken with him. She was rudely refused by Kilmer as he supposedly said that he can't have his picture taken with a person such as yourself. The Platinum Princess reportedly ripped Kilmer a new asshole, in public.

For those who don't know, Kilmer played John Holmes, real life porn star and accessory to murder, in the film Wonderland. Kilmer, who reportedly looks like he's around 280lbs, completely disrespected Seka, who has always been a class act. Obviously his carreer is in a downhill slide as why else would he be selling autographs at a film con.

Instead of respecting the people who made him a star, he makes a nice unreported penny gouging his fans at $30 bucks a pop. Funny thing is that John Holmes was the first male superstar in porn because of having a foot long dick. Kilmer is so fat now that I doubt he even sees his dick anymore. So here, one again , life imitates art. Val played a guy with a big dick, but he was a bigger dick to his fans. Kudos to Seka for putting him in his place.

Bookgasm in London: Nick Carter Killmaster

While walking along the South Bank last weekend in London, I came across a 2nd hand book stall and my first thoughts were "I wonder if they had any of the cool Nick Carter: Killmaster novels kicking around? Thankfully the answer was yes with "Butcher of Belgrade"; "Target:Doomsday Island"; "Operation Starvation"; and "Temple of Fear" all added to my to read pile.

GI Joe: Battle for the Serpents Eye

Since DVD Trash is on the subject of GI Joe, here is an actually very well made fan movie entitled "Battle for the Serpents Eye", with appearances from Duke, Lady Jaye, Snake Eyes, The Baroness and Major Bludd, with a cool cameo right at the end....who is it you ask? Well you can find that out yourselves! Yo Joe!

GI Joe Movie on the way?

It's being reported that a GI Joe movie is on the way from Paramount, with Transformers doing so well, the other 80's popular toyline is next for the big screen! Stephen (The Mummy) Somers is being touted to direct with Mark Whalberg in line to play Duke! The script floating around is meant to be pretty bad and is getting a redraft. Stay tuned for more info!

Killer Klowns from Outer Space, John Massari, 1988

Again one of my favourite Midnite Movie DVD releases, Killer Klowns... is a fantastically cool little horror flick from the Chiodo Brothers (also the creators of Critters) with a great fun soundtrack, so check out the move if you can, but here to get you in the mood is the title track from the film. Click the album art or simpy click here!

Christian Fuelled Fumetti!

Can you believe it? I've discovered by the European Film Review site that there is a Christian Fumetto out there! It's called Original T.E.A (Teen Enforcement Agency) and you can check it out here. What would Diabolik and Satanik think of that?

Black Emanuelle - Nico Fidenco

Next up in DVD Trash's soundtrack series is Nico Fidenco's theme from Black Emanuelle, very melodic and it conjurs up images of the sleazy 70's. Enjoy!
Click the cover or just click here!

Kriminal - Roberto Pregadio, 1968

First up in DVD Trash's soundtrack series is Roberto Pregadio's cool titular track from the even cooler fumetti flick "Kriminal" by Umberto Lenzi. The full album can be bought from Movie Grooves.
Just click the cover to get listening or here if you prefer!

Homage to Soundtrack Blogs

As a result of my love of Soundtrack blogs such as the very cool Manchester Morgue, I've decided to present some groovy euro trash tracks of my own, so for the next few weeks expect some aural delights in amongst the sleaze!

Brigitte Lahaie update!

I've noticed from Sitemeter that there are many Google searches for Brigitte Lahaie, which is very understandable, however a few of the links were out of date, so they have now been updated and all now work.

Here was the original post, now with updated links:

A personal favourite of mine! Brigitte Lahaie, perhaps the prettiest adult cinema star of all time. Totally natural, nothing fake and definitely no tattoos. They don't make them like this anymore.
