Inappropriate Soundtracks - Saving Private Ryan

Don't think I'd like this to happen to my favourite Joes!

The Ballad of GI Joe!

How excellent is this from Funny or Die, how did they get this cast to do the video:

• Alexis Bledel as Lady Jaye
• Billy Crudup as Zartan
• Zach Galifiankais as Snow Job
• Tony Hale as Dr. Mindbender
• Vinnie Jones as Destro
• Joey Kern as Tomax and Xamot
• Chuck Liddell as Gung Ho
• Julianne Moore as Scarlett
• Henry Rollins as Duke
• Alan Tudyk as Shipwreck
• Olivia Wilde as The Baroness

Fantastic stuff! I'm loving the hype GI Joe is getting at the moment, my favourite childhood 80's cartoon ever! Go see the movie as well, best popcorn flick of the summer by miles! I even won the USS F.L.A.G.G playset in a competition when I was 12! Wish I still had all the parts...

G.I. Joe: Resolute

April 24th: Keep the date because at 9pm on April 24th, G.I. Joe: Resolute debuts on Adult Swim in the US. The word is this animated series is meant to seriously kick ass, no laser guns or parachuting pilots, actual death and destruction. Anyway take a look:

Here is a alledged quote from one of the soundmixers that has been working on the show:

"Hey all, I am the sound mixer for GI Joe:Resolute and have already seen (many many many times) the entire series. We are finishing the last 2 shorts next week, and let me say this. I have NEVER been more blown away by a cartoon than this series. It is awesome. The animation is detailed, sharp and fluid. The sound, not meaning to pay myself on the back or anything, is feature film quality, but you'll have to wait for the DVD release to hear it in 5.1 surround. On each episode there are over 120 tracks of audio to create the sound track. And best of all, the stories are great and the action sequences are perfect. I know you will all love it!!"

Can't wait for this!

GI JOE: Teaser Trailer

A few hours in advance of the GI Joe trailer being shown during the Superbowl, here is a sneak preview. Despite my worry of this being a total disaster and childhood being raped yadda yadda, this actually looks ok, but a longer trailer will give a better impression! I'm glad Christoper Ecclestone's Destro is actually using a Scottish accent!

GI Joe: 1st Scarlett image!

Another image from the upcoming GI Joe Movie, this time it's Scarlett to go along with Snake-Eyes. All in all looking good despite having Stephen Sommers directing (Van Helsing anyone?), I can't wait to see more characters (Zartan especially) revealed to satisfy my inner 12 year old mind that used to play for hours with GI Joe toys!

GI Joe: Snake-Eyes!

While I'm not sure a GI Joe movie was such a great idea, this first image of Snake-Eyes (played by Ray Park) has got me slightly moist!

GI Joe: Battle for the Serpents Eye

Since DVD Trash is on the subject of GI Joe, here is an actually very well made fan movie entitled "Battle for the Serpents Eye", with appearances from Duke, Lady Jaye, Snake Eyes, The Baroness and Major Bludd, with a cool cameo right at the end....who is it you ask? Well you can find that out yourselves! Yo Joe!

GI Joe Movie on the way?

It's being reported that a GI Joe movie is on the way from Paramount, with Transformers doing so well, the other 80's popular toyline is next for the big screen! Stephen (The Mummy) Somers is being touted to direct with Mark Whalberg in line to play Duke! The script floating around is meant to be pretty bad and is getting a redraft. Stay tuned for more info!
