Torchwood: Children of Earth

I'm not sure if any of you watched Torchwood last week on BBC 1 and BBC HD, but just WOW! I can't believe how good this was, perhaps one of the best written pieces of Sci-Fi on British TV for years. Season 1 and 2 of Torchwood were merely ok, formulaic, with the usual monster of the week for Captain Jack and his crew to battle with! Season 3 and Children of Earth though has shown how it should be done and with good viewing figures, hopefully there will be more to come! Grab the DVD or Blu-Ray when it comes out if you've not seen it, you won't regret it!

The Equalizer Arrives!

Finally got my Region 1 copy of The Equalizer: Season 1, and it's just as good as I remember! So here is a little interview with Edward Woodward from a recent UK show about TV tough guys!

How have I missed this story! Edward Woodwards "The Equalizer" (or The "Tranquilizer" as my favourite Grandpa used to comment almost every episode from his comfy chair, cigar in hand, as we used to settle down and watch the show together) is coming to Region 1 DVD on February 12th!

Due to the strong pound versus the almighty $ (!), I took advantage of the Amazon.com TV boxset sale, going for "Hill Street Blues S1" and X-Files spinoff "The Lone Gumen" both only retailing for $14.99 each!!!


Also coming my way is some Pinky Violence via "Rica" and "Legends of the Poisonous Seductress: Female Demon Ohyaku" Nice month of viewing ahead if I can find the time!!
